VRChat June Update!

We've made some exciting updates to our Groups feature! With the addition of Group Instances, you can now create and join Group+, and Groups Public instances. Customize your instance using Group Roles and new permissions. Keep in mind that creating group instances requires new permissions, so be sure to check your group role settings.

We've also introduced Group Queues, which allows you to join a waitlist queue when a Group, Group+, or Group Public instance is full. You'll receive a widget that lets you know how long you've been waiting and a notification when it's your turn to join. Group moderators can even hop to the front of the line with the proper permissions.

With our new Group Bans feature, you can now ban people from your Group, even if they aren't a member. This feature is useful for preventing unwanted members from joining your Group's instances.

We've also added Group Locations in the Social Menu, making it easier to see all instances of the Groups you're a part of in one place. You can now search for Groups, but filtering and sorting is not yet available.

In terms of improvements, if you reinstall VRChat but have already completed the tutorial, you won't have to do it again. We've also made some changes to slider-adjacent buttons for clarity and improved the refresh rate of instance population in menus. Additionally, logs on Quest are now stored in Documents/Logs instead of just Logs, but logging must still be turned on manually via the setting in the quick menu to view log files.

Overall, our Groups feature continues to grow and improve, with a maximum capacity of 100,000. We hope you enjoy these updates and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or feedback.

Here are the latest fixes that have been made:

- The avatar hider sliders in the quick menu now display the correct numbers on fresh installs.

- The menu text no longer becomes blurry after changing the FOV.

- The "open in the main menu" buttons at the top of some quick menu pages now work properly.

- Decimal precision has been added to the IK settings in the main menu.

- The order of buttons in the quick menu user tab has been adjusted to align it more closely with the main menu.

- Tooltips in the "Managed Cached Data" section have been updated.

- Some Finger Tracking options that were missing from settings have been re-added.

- The main menu's audio switcher text has been updated to match the quick menu's text.

- Missing main menu settings for OSC, AFK detection, and One-Handed Movement have been added.

- Camera components on avatars now enable on refresh after adding someone as a friend.

- The "friends only" requirement is still in place, but after adding someone as a friend, reloading their avatar will now enable camera components.

Other fixes include:

- The VRC+ loading screen banner no longer contains outdated information.

- The spawn position in the tutorial world has been corrected and movement inputs are now disallowed while the world loading screen is still showing.

- Tooltips on toggle options no longer disappear after changing their state.

- Missing report button tooltips have been added.

- Refining a search no longer disables the shuffle button.

- Horizontal mouse movement stuttering has been fixed depending on FPS settings and screen refresh rate.

- An issue where the portal interact icons turn into a white square has been possibly fixed.

- Camera smoothing will no longer cause your camera to clip into your avatar while walking around.

- The block button in the quick menu is no longer incorrectly grayed out.

- The menu and camera's UI are less likely to "freak out" while in moving stations.

- There is no more delay on a jump during low-performance situations.

Additional fixes have been made to MIDI input timing, PhysBones scaling, VRCPhysBone position animation, and blocked user position and motion state syncing. Udon can now be used to eject players from "standing" stations, and raycasting in certain worlds related to the "enabled" state of Canvas or VRC_UiShape elements now works correctly again. However, using a permanently disabled VRC_UiShape to turn on raycasting against an active canvas is considered legacy behavior and may degrade UI performance, so it is recommended to ensure that VRC_UiShapes are enabled when they are supposed to be in use.
