Why Phone VR Failed

Do you remember using phone VR?

Well for most people it was their first step into VR.

I honestly think even tho phone VR was kinda crappy let's be honest most of us tried to run it on our Cheap potatoes of phones, it actually got an insanely large amount of people interested in the VR space even if it wasn’t the best experience,

Here are 3 reasons why it actually failed and if you knew this at all, I will not smack your quest 2, well maybe that's not a promise

1st off Cooling was an issue, with being such a small device crammed in a headset adapter with no ventilation at all it was quite common for your phone to go nuclear hot on your face and just thermal throttle phones were never designed for the demand it takes to run some of these games

2nd it was hard to support every phone because of the different sizes of screens and hardware variations from one to the next I knew some people who would play Phone VR with their slow Cheap $40 LG phones, which to give them credit, it did work, but it did totally suck

3rdly Not every phone had adequate tracking or an adequate display at all, gotta remember 5 plus years ago most phones were just starting to have high refresh rate displays with decent resolutions, then besides some of the Samsung phones most phones never thought of adding any tracking so you were limited to this crappy Bluetooth wii nunchuck looking thing and if you used one tell me down below

Also, tell me what was your first VR experience down below, I’m really curious
